AUDIO VISUAL

Two Audio Visual Programmes are now available for booking within a short radius of my home town of Wimborne Minster in Dorset

These programmes are suitable for Photography Clubs, Art Clubs and of general Interest to all number of societies who require a source of entertainment and who can provide a facility with a large screen on which the programmes can be displayed. All shows are performed using Pro Show software, a digital projector and Bose quality sound.

Each programme has been designed to include an interval and will be introduced by myself throughout the performance. Cost of each performance is £70

I hold all music copyright licences for the music recorded and performed during each programme

Programme 1

ART OF THE IMPRESSIONISTS
There is much photographers can learn from the work of artists and the French impressionists in particular, I have therefore created this audio visual programme for both artists and photographers, most sequences are documentary in style, revealing the story of each artist through their own paintings and the landscapes in which they worked.
This programme is also suitable for a general audience, providing entertainment, interest and an introduction in to the world of the impressionists.

Introduction - How I became involved in Audio Visual and a brief history of the medium – there will also be a short introduction for each sequence

Vincent - Interpretation of the song ‘Vincent’ by Don McLean using the art of Vincent Van Gogh. (4 minutes)

Jardin de L’Impressionism – Inspired by the music of Eric Sartie, this AV is produced with impressionistic style photography and features much of the landscape painted by Claude Monet and the French impressionists including Monet’s house and garden at Giverny. (4 minutes)

Renoir and the Olive Trees of les Collettes – The story of painter, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, made in conjunction with Musée Renoir it tells the story of Renoir’s final years amongst the olive groves of his home - les Collettes in the south of France. Featuring the medieval hilltop town of Haut de Cagnes and the landscapes painted by Renoir; many of which are included with kind permission of the Musée Renoir. (16 minutes)

Alfred Sisley – The Painter of Placid Streams – The story of Alfred Sisley, the little known English painter who lived and worked amongst the French impressionists; featuring many of his paintings and the landscapes around his home town of Moret sur Loing and the forest of Fontainbleau. (10 minutes)

Interval

In Pursuit of Nature – The life of Claude Monet and his fellow Impressionists, featuring his paintings, the landscapes in which he worked and of course his famous garden at Giverny (32 Minutes)




Programme 2

A VISUAL CONCERT ‘An audio visual experience with photographer Roger Lane’
Combining the art of Photography and Music

Introduction - How I became involved in Audio Visual and a brief history of the medium – there will also be a short introduction for each sequence

Vincent - Interpretation of the song ‘Vincent’ by Don McLean using the art of Vincent Van Gogh. (4 minutes)

Lady in Red – Based on the song by Chris de Burgh, featuring a model photographed in various Dorset locations. (4 minutes)

Kimmeridge Colours – The colours in the landscape and rocks of one of Dorset’s most photographed locations set to music by Ludovico Einaudi. (4 minutes)

Under Lavender Skies – Photographed at Snowshill Cotswold Lavender Farm near Broadway in Worcestershire set to the music from the film ‘Ladies in Lavender’. (6 minutes)

Burano – Colour and Music – View the colourful island of Burano in the Venetian Lagoon. The colourful fisherman’s houses, the leaning Campanile and the wonderful canal reflections come alive with special transitions from Pro Show Producer. (7 minutes)

Elgar – Landscape and Music – Produced in conjunction with the Elgar Birthplace Museum, this AV traces the landscape of the Malvern Hills and the Worcestershire countryside which inspired the music of Sir Edward Elgar culminating in the magnificent setting of Worcester Cathedral set to the music of this major British composer. (11 minutes)

Second Half

Venice – Dawn to Dusk – Images of a famous city. (8 minutes)

Forever Autumn – Based on the song by Justin Hayward from Jeff Wayne’s musical –‘War of the Worlds’. Produced in widescreen ‘letter box’ format (6 minutes)

Life as a Flower – Creative close up floral photography using ‘third mage’ dissolves to maximum effect – inspired by the music of Vincente Diamente. Produced in widescreen ‘letter box’ format (6 minutes)

Benedictus – The haunting Benedictus from Karl Jenkins’ masterpiece ‘The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace’. Commissioned by the Royal Armouries Museum for the Millennium celebrations it was dedicated to the victims of the Kosovar crisis. The Benedictus movement provides the atmosphere for images of Kosovar contrasting with peace and harmony and Karl Jenkins’ own Welsh landscape. (8 minutes)
