In July 2016 I once again visited Snowshill Lavender farm in Worcestershire, located near the delightful town of Broadway. The clouds that day were occasionally ominous but with some strong patches of blue sky but nothing had prepared me for the wonderful sight when I arrived at the Lavender Farm run by the The Cotswold Lavender Company.
Beside the tunnels of lavender which was fully ripe and ready for harvesting was the resplendent colour of wild flowers, a few poppies contrasted with daisies and cornflowers just to mention a few. The air was alive with the sound of bees and with the lavender fields as a backdrop this was a tremendous sight.
